Working for Your Harvest

Never feel like you're being taken advantage of when you're doing something good. Sure, you may not get thanked, recognized or even acknowledged; but, as long as you are working from your heart, God will always notice you. Today, don't work for the "thank you," work for your harvest.

Waiting is a Good Opportunity

INSPIRATION

Waiting is not just an opportunity to let time pass by; but rather, it is an opportunity to do a self evaluation so that you're ready for your next goal. When God wants us to wait, He affords us with the opportunity to set new goals which will make us more productive in our daily lives and stronger against any enemies. If you find yourself waiting but haven't felt any change, then it's time to seize this opportunity to sharpen your mind and do something that will help you maximize your waiting period. Today, don't just wait; wait with strength knowing that God is with you!

Believe that Prayer works!

You Have To Taste It To Believe It!

INSPIRATION

Having just come off the holiday season with good eating, the one thing that made the meals right was making sure it tastes good before you served it to others. This experimental test afforded you the opportunity to see if you needed to add more, make necessary adjustments, or start over. Once you've figured it out, you were then ready to serve. Well the same goes for how we experiment the goodness of God. When we don't have enough God in our lives, we need to add more of Him. When we forget to consult God for our goals, we need to make adjustments. Finally, when we're ready to fully acknowledge that He is God, we are then ready to taste and tell others just how great He is. Today, if anyone cannot understand why you still stand strong instead of living defeated; tell them, "You have to taste it to believe it!"

Struggling With Faith

INSPIRATION

If you are struggling with faith, it's because you are struggling with trust. It will always be hard to jump for joy if you cannot trust the resource for your joy. Not only does God desire to bring you to another level, but He desires that you know for yourself that you can trust Him to bring you through. If you want joy, you have to put your fears, your doubts, and any and all negative things down so that you can truly submit to God who is the only true source for joy! Today, stop trusting in others and start trusting in God!

Taking God At His Word

INSPIRATION

God's word was never intended to complicate our lives. We complicate things when we try to interpret His message to fit our own agendas. If we learn to take God at His word, we will eliminate a lot of confusion in our lives and can begin to walk in His light. Today, remove your agenda from God's plan and take Him at His word.

When you give to others, it is not always about money. Some people will need you for advice, for a referral, or even just for some of your time to assist them with their goals. However you can bless somebody; do it, because the blessing will always come back to you. Today, realize that if you just help somebody along the way, then your living is not in vain.

Faith All Day

INSPIRATION

Big things come in small packages. And, just like faith, you only need a little bit of it to receive big blessings. Too often, we think we have to do large and exciting things to get God's attention. While taking on what appears to be a large project to bring people in the fold of Christ is nice, God is more concerned that you kept your faith even when they didn't follow you to Him. Today, don't look for the big package to brighten your day, just keep a little faith with you to keep you happy through the whole day.

Believe In Yourself

INSPIRATION

In order to have commitment, you must have discipline. You have to set up a plan from the very beginning that no matter how tired you get, you will not stop. No matter how frustrated you may get, you will not stop. No matter how many people don't believe in you, you will not stop! When you make a commitment to yourself, you are also making one to God. Believe in yourself because He already believes in you. Today, do not stop!

Can I Get A Witness?

INSPIRATION

A witness is a person who has firsthand knowledge about a particular situation. In any case, there may be an expert witness, a character witness, an eye witness, and even a false witness. It is up to you and I to make sure that when we say we are bringing others to Christ, or that we are witnesses of Christ, that we appear to have firsthand knowledge of what we are talking about. Today, be a witness that is willing to testify and tell of God's greatness to others. Can I get a witness?!

Pull Yourself Up

INSPIRATION

It won't always be your enemy persuading you to leave the grace of God. Sometimes, it will be the closest person to you. People are not going to always understand why in the midst of all your anguish, hard times, and despair that you can still give God praise. It's almost as if they'd rather see you die than to see you pull yourself up out of a situation. Today, know that if God isn't ready to bring you home, then He's not ready for you to give up. Forget what's around you and pull yourself up anyhow!

Rejoice! Even if God has delayed the answer you think you should receive, stay patient, stay encouraged, but most of all, stay in the race because the victory may be closer than you believe. Remember, our timing is not God's timing and if you rush Him or give up before He is finished with you, you will be disappointed.

Success On The Horizon

INSPIRATION

In the work field, it's important to close the big deal, create the big concept or even deliver the big event. But, in God's eyes, the little things we do mean more to Him than all those big ideas. Remaining faithful with little tasks, prepares us for the bigger tasks we cannot see yet. While the little tedious assignments are nerve wrecking and almost seem ridiculous to have to do, look at them as stepping stones towards your bigger goal. If you don't give up now, you'll see success on the horizon.

INSPIRATION

The right decision is always right in front of us, but sometimes we choose the path with more obstacles because perhaps we may be thinking, "If it's too easy, there must be a catch to it. Well the only "catch" to traveling on the right path is you have to stay on the path that makes sense for you. Today, don't over think the obvious; save yourself some time and walk in the direction of success!

Every breathing opportunity is an opportunity to say thank you. Unfortunately, we often use all this good breathing on nonsense instead of giving thanks for all God has done for us. Sometimes, the problem with asking somebody else for advice is that they may already know too much about you and will formulate their answer according to your past and not according to where you want to be. When you seek wisdom and direction from God, He picks you up right from where you are and will only direct you where you can win. Today, if you feel like you're still getting the short end of the stick; seek wisdom from God by listening more and talking less so that you can receive His Divine direction.

As we enter into the Advent season, we will begin to show love through the exchanging of gifts. Christ was born for you and I as a gift from the Father as an example of unconditional love. This act was not performed because of who we are but because of who God is. This season, as you give gifts, give to somebody not because of who they are, but because of who you are. They will not only hear your love, but see how you love.

INSPIRATION

Sometimes I think we think we only need to show love when we think God is watching, i.e.…in church or other worship settings. God expects us to always love and stand together regardless of the setting because He knows the adversary can attempt its destruction at anytime and at any given place. Notice, when we stand with one another, we feel protected and secure. The moment we begin to disagree and fall apart, the more we begin concentrating on whether someone is talking about us and our focus is turned from the Kingdom. Today, protect the Kingdom by standing firm with one another and we will surely put the devil under our feet!

Eyes Have Seen

INSPIRATION

Your eyes respond to what you feel from your heart. When the heart is genuine, your eyes are more relaxed which relaxes the conversation and provides an atmosphere of peace. Deceitful eyes tend to become larger and excited creating a loud atmosphere with confusion and often, excuses. Know that in order for God to grant you all the desires of your heart, your heart must be genuine, free of excuses, grudges and deceit. Today, ask yourself, "What kind of heart will God see in me when He looks in my eyes."

Obstacles Out Of The Way

INSPIRATION

Sometimes it seems easier to follow the advice of friends and family about decisions you need to make, but those voices have not gone out ahead of you to make the course easier. Even when we feel lost and far away from God, If you know Him for yourself, then you can walk with confidence knowing that He has already gone out ahead of you to clear some obstacles out of your way. Now, whose voice would you rather follow?

I Desire Amazing!

INSPIRATION

If you want God to do something different in you, you have to do something different for God. You must think, act, and respond differently to how you want to achieve more goals. Start with the people and things around you that are stunting your growth. If something or someone around you isn't helping you grow, then it's time to separate yourself. Today, know that an amazing thing for you is on the horizon, but in order to receive it, you're going to have to be ready get uncomfortable and make some changes.

Push For Silence

INSPIRATION

We all have something to say and for the most part, think that somebody needs to hear it, so we say it! Well, sometimes, the best answer to any conflict is when both parties stop talking, stop pointing, and stop blaming. It is at this point when all the yelling stops where resolutions can come in to present a way to bring the conflict to an end. Today, instead of pushing your opinion, push for silence. Know that it's okay to walk away and come back later.

A Level of Commitment

INSPIRATION

Commitments in the beginning are very easy because the real work doesn't take effect until after the project is underway. Somewhere in the middle, you may begin to question yourself if you made the right decision or not; but, you arrived at that commitment for a reason, so you must see it through. Today, if you have lost sleep trying to get it done, keep on working. If you have lost some relationships to get the job done, keep on working. If you already see the light at the end of tunnel, keep on working because when it is all set and done, your hard work will be proven to have been worth it.

Struggling To Find Peace

The only reason why we struggle with obtaining peace in our lives is because we are so easily distracted by things that bring us chaos. I don't mind people bragging or showing off what they have because if they've worked hard to get it, then kudos to them. I do mind when the bragger forgets to give honor to the one who gives them the ability to receive those bragging rights. As we attain more in our lives, it is important to remember that everything we have is only because God has provided the strength and knowledge for us to receive them. These temporary pleasures in our lives only please us. What pleases God is that we remember who it came from. Today, brag about how good God has been to you.

Space With God

INSPIRATION

Sometimes, when the noise level around us becomes too loud, we can't hear the voice of God. When this happens, He allows us to see the exit door necessary to leave our current space and walk into an area where only His voice can be heard. When you come into a place where you can stretch and breathe freely, know that it is God rescuing you from all the junk in your life, and bringing you to where you need to be, to hear His word. Today, find your space with God!

God is not just a God of good times; but, He is also good when you think you can't feel His presence. The first thing people will notice about you is your appearance. The second thing will be what you have to say. It is an awesome feeling to be able to look back over your life and laugh at some of the obstacles you overcame, which at that time seemed impossible to achieve. An even more awesome feeling is being able to laugh at whatever is standing in your way right now, because if you can laugh at it, then it's not big enough to scare you. When you approach difficulty with complete joy, knocking it down will be just that much easier to do and you will have the last laugh!

INSPIRATION

It's a secret for a reason! If we knew God's plans for our lives, then we wouldn't appreciate the process of growing in the Lord. During the process, we ought to grow in faith, love and trust so that when He is ready to reveal His miracle in our lives, we will be able to look back and see how much we've grown. Not only is God watching, but so are our children. Let them be a witness to your faith and they will imitate that behavior.

Our Differences Strengthens Us

INSPIRATION

The reason no two people are the same is because we need differences to sharpen one another. If all of us knew the exact same thing there would be no need to encourage one another. Therefore, find out who sharpens you and together, devise a plan that will bring the both of you up. Together, you will be advanced and with God, you will continue to grow.

Forgetting past pains is not always easy to do, but it is necessary in order for you to move on. If you can't forget completely, then try remembering differently. If you can't forget how bad they hurt you, or how hard the economy has affected your finances, or whatever it is that you keep looking back on; then remember differently. Remember that through it all, God still kept you! Last time I checked, you can't press and look backwards at the same time so today, remember differently and move forward.

INSPIRATION

By now, hurricane Irene has left the area and many of us have begun to dig ourselves out of our homes. As we assess the damage, some have lost a lot and some experienced minimal damage. Some lost power, cable, internet, and even the ability to leave their home. Yet, through it all, we can be thankful for the important things we didn't lose. What this reminds me to do is that even during turbulent times, not to lose our praise! While we experience shaky moments in our life, remember who is still in charge! God is still worthy of our praise because today, we can still find a reason to be thankful. So let's clean up the mess, help our neighbors and most of all, and remain grateful!

“Don’t Tell Everyone Everything”

INSPIRATION

The reason why most secrets end up getting out is because sometimes, the shock of your own secret catches you so off guard, that you can't help but tell someone about it. AND, as much and as often as you say, "Don't tell anyone," that same shock value is still in effect and will be told to others, and others, and others! Today, you better be sure that whatever you can't keep to yourself, is something that will not come back to haunt you in the days to come. My advice, tell it to Jesus who you know will not tell anyone!

Love Supports Everything

It is God's love which lifts you when you can't feel love from anyone else. It is God's love which brings us out of darkness when the light cannot be found. It is God's love that touches you every morning to wake up and achieve goals beyond your imagination. Today, allow God's love to support you in all your decisions. Even if you feel yourself slipping, know that your support is standing right there waiting to catch you.

When our faith, hope, and joy are shattered by circumstances in our lives, it can make us doubt who and where God is in the midst of our storms. Even when our head is down, the Spirit of the living God continues to give you enough strength to wake up every morning, lift your head to see another sunrise, and reach for new opportunities to get your smile back. Don't worry if you don't have the words to encourage yourself right now. Allow the Holy Spirit to intercede for you. Then, day by day, your smile will get stronger. Today, know that while you are weak, He is making you strong!

Cell phones, cars, and other gadgets that we love so much can let us down, break apart and attempt to defeat our souls; but standing on God's word affirms in you that wherever you stand or go, the ground you land on will always be solid. Today, stand firm on His word and remain confident in all that you do.

The safest place to be when you find yourself at a crossroad is a place where you and God cannot be interrupted. Whether you are making decisions for your business, job, school, or even your church, consultation with God is always secure, confidential and will always lead you in the right direction. Today, rest your decisions in God's hands and when it's all revealed to you, don't forget to tell others about where God has brought you from.

There may be times when it seems impossible to praise God when everything around you seems so dark; but always consider that your situation is probably still better than someone else's. As opposed to concentrating on your entire have not's, consider reflecting on all your possessions and begin to thank God for just the little things. Little blessings turn into big blessings when you begin to praise God!

Well, like parents who want their children to feel safe even when they cannot see them; God wants us to always have this assurance as well. No matter where you are or how far you travel, remember, He's always right there! Know how to reach Him in the event of an emergency because "Like a Good Neighbor, Jesus is Always There."

Be careful in these weak moments not to listen to just anybody, but remain in constant communication with God so that you can always identify Him from the false prophets. INSPIRATION

When we were taught the "Lord's Prayer" or "The Ten Commandments" or even "The Apostle's Creed," in Sunday School, they weren't taught to us for us to just memorize and not apply them. These beliefs that we recite are the law and provide discipline to our daily lives.
